On the 31 July 2017 it was announced that another screening of the US film ‘Vaxxed: From Cover-up to Catastrophe’ would be held in Perth, WA – a film that describes the fraud at the US CDC that covered-up the data showing a causal link between Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine and autism.

On 4 August 2017 the West Australian media was running a story about one case of measles that led to ‘near-hysteria’ on social media. There were no other cases of measles in the community and no information about the severity of the the single case. Yet we were informed that a Steiner school principal resigned ‘amid controversy over his anti-vaccination views.’

The article implies that the principal resigned because of his anti-vaccination views. This is a method of manipulating public behaviour around vaccination.

Millions of parents globally are now living with autistic children and this disease has escalated since the triple antigen MMR vaccine was introduced in 1988. It was not a significant issue when the single measles vaccine was used from 1970 – 1988. At this time the incidence of autism was 1 in 10,000 children. It should also be noted that between 1950 – 1970 there was no measles vaccine and measles was not considered a serious risk in developed countries like Australia from this time.

Now the risk of autism is approximately 1 in 60 children – a risk that far outweighs any risk from measles in a developed country. Yet the Australian media becomes hysterical when one case of measles is reported. Why is the media not hysterical over the millions of children who are now autistic since 1990?

If the Health Department wants parents to vaccinate against measles then it should offer parents the single measles vaccine. Parents should not be expected to accept the significant risk of autism that comes with the MMR vaccine simply because the government is ignoring this science and labelling it ‘anti-vaccination’.

The government could ensure parents had access to the single measles vaccine – but they have not done this and the risk of autism is too high. If parents would like to see the science that the Australian government is ignoring they can book tickets to ‘Vaxxed: From Cover-up to Catastrophehere.

It is up to parents to research this topic because the media is not participating in a debate on children’s health – it is participating in the promotion of vaccines.
