Re:  Ben Dickinson, a Reporter at Post Newspapers WA, asks to be removed from this emailing list.

Dear Professor Alison Jones and Professor Heather Yeatman,
I have received a request from a reporter to remove his name from this emailing list but he has not described the reason why he is not interested in reporting on this important issue of children’s health. This includes the fact that 143,000 Australian parents have now considered that the health of their child is more important than the $15,000 financial bribe that the Australian government is giving to parents if  they use all of the 16 vaccines (~24+ doses of vaccine by 4 years of age) recommended on the National Immunisation Program. This is a discriminatory social welfare policy that is not based on public health legislation. The vaccines parents are being asked to use are recommended by government advisory boards with financial ties to pharmaceutical companies and by a government regulator (the Therapeutic Goods Administrator (TGA)) that is 100% funded by the pharmaceutical companies and other industries. The government describes this as a User-Pay system (Cost-Recovery), however this arrangement completely removes any incentive for industry to ensure that its products are safe or effective because the TGA approves the drugs for the market AND monitors their safety.

Vaccines are a drug for healthy children and many of these vaccines are for diseases that were not controlled by vaccines and are not a risk to the majority of Australians. This evidence is published on the University of Wollongong (UOW) website (A critical Analysis of the Australian Government’s Rationale for its Vaccination Policies)  and lobby groups (many with industry funding) have gone to great lengths to prevent the public from seeing this PhD research with credibility. Not only are academics signing their names to statements about vaccines that they have not investigated but journalists/reporters are ignoring the valid scientific evidence and not reporting it to the public.

Here is my letter of reply that I have sent to Ben Dickinson in his role as a Reporter at the WA Post:

Dear Ben,
I included you on this email list because you have previously written a story that falsely represented the concerns that parents have about vaccines. This is not about anti-vaccination and it is your duty as a journalist/reporter to ensure that you research both sides of a scientific argument. This issue is about children’s health and the medications they are being given – in this case when they are healthy.

Parents are questioning how many vaccines are being given and how necessary they all are because children’s health is deteriorating with every new addition to the schedule. PhD’s are not awarded if they do not contain valid scientific arguments for debate. It is important to address the arguments not attack or label the messenger.

I will remove you from the email list and look forward to you and your fellow journalists researching these concerns that are being presented by academics, health professionals, lawyers and parents.
Kind regards,
Dr. Judy Wilyman

Here is my open letter to the Executive-Dean of the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health at the University of Wollongong (UOW):

Dear Professor Alison Jones,

In May 2016 you stated in a newspaper article to the Australian public that the link between vaccines and autism has been “discredited” (Kylar Loussikian, The Australian, 11 May 2016). This statement is false and the former head of the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) and member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM), Dr. Bernadine Healy, stated in 2008 that “this question has not been answered”. On the 15 February 2017 Robert F Kennedy, along with other lawyers, scientists and parent/researchers, provided evidence that of the hundreds of studies that have investigated the link between vaccines and autism, 240 of them have found a link between neurodevelopmental disorders and vaccines and 81 studies found a link between vaccines and autism. They found zero (0) studies that showed that vaccines containing mercury, in the doses that are still present in children’s vaccines  – Infanrix-hexa (Austin et al, 2010), whooping cough vaccines and flu vaccines – to be safe. Whilst government regulators are claiming that mercury in the form of thimerosal has been removed from all vaccines this is not the case. Mercury is still present in the manufacturing process for many vaccines and specifically multi-dose vials of flu vaccines and this is why it was still listed in the Australian Immunisation Handbook (ed. 9) until 2013.

Whilst the CDC has used 19 selected studies to claim that vaccines do not cause autism, all of these studies were found to be scientifically flawed and many of these studies (funded and designed by CDC researchers) even described links between vaccines and neurological problems. Further, they were epidemiological studies and did not represent the diverse body of evidence – clinical, biological, animal and ecological evidence – that is needed to prove that there is no causal link between vaccines and autism or vaccines and serious neurological and autoimmune damage in children or adults. The issue of vaccine safety is not just related to the issue of thimerosal in vaccines. To prove safety the government regulator is required to test the combined schedule of vaccines (the combination of chemical ingredients in all vaccines injected into children) against the health of unvaccinated children before it recommends this program of vaccines. This study has never been done by any government. And we have observed chronic illness skyrocket 5-fold in children since 1990 – directly correlating with the increased use of vaccines from this time onwards. The government’s claim of “coincidence” is not evidence-based medicine and this explanation is not acceptable to parents. 43% of US and Australian children now have a chronic illness many of which are debilitating and life threatening.

Previously I have provided you with the evidence that refutes your statement that the link between vaccines and autism has been discredited and you and your colleagues have ignored it. I have also provided the evidence to show that the claims about vaccine safety and efficacy that you and 60 other UOW academics are promoting on the UOW website are also unsupported by evidence: an opinion piece that was put up one week after my thesis was published on the UOW website – January 2016. An opinion piece that was not written by an expert in vaccination science or policy and that does not address the evidence presented in my PhD thesis.

For decades the scientific community has avoided debating the science in vaccination policies. Ignoring the academic literature, instead of addressing the arguments, is putting human health at risk.

I will therefore inform you that Robert F Kennedy, an attorney specialising in environmental law, has now offered a reward of $100,000 to anyone who can find a peer-reviewed scientific study demonstrating that thimerosal is safe in the amounts contained in vaccines currently being administered to American children and pregnant women.” Thimerosal is also present in the vaccines given to Australian children and pregnant women.

This is an opportunity for you and the 60 other UOW academics to provide supportive evidence for your claims about the safety and efficacy of vaccines that are on the UOW website and promoted in the Australian media. As head of the UOW Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health your comments are influencing the health of Australian children and I am asking that you provide the evidence for your claim that the link between vaccines and autism has been discredited. Please provide the study that Robert F Kennedy has requested and please address the evidence and arguments I have provided in my PhD thesis on the undone science in government policies. You have a duty to inform the public accurately on the medical literature on vaccination and  Australia has an escalating number of parents who are now long-term carers for their children who will never reach their potential in life.

I look forward to your prompt response to this request in the interest of children’s health and the health of the Australian community.

Yours Sincerely,
Dr. Judy Wilyman

Open Letter to the University of Wollongong (UOW)

To UOW head of Public Health and the executive dean of the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health.

Dear Professors Heather Yeatman and Alison Jones and UOW academics/staff,

I am forwarding you my first newsletter for 2017 that includes a 9-part documentary confirming the conclusions in my PhD thesis. This research shows that many vaccines have not been proven to be safe or effective and that the combined schedule of vaccines, that is now mandated in Australian social welfare policies for all children up to 20 years of age (with the removal of religious and conscientious exemptions), has never been tested for safety. Scientists are relying on the claim that “the correlation of vaccines with increased chronic illness, cancer and autism in the population does not equal causation”. This is confirming the fact that governments have never investigated this link with properly designed placebo controlled studies and therefore do not have the scientific evidence to claim that the National Immunization Program is ‘safe and effective’.

I have previously informed you that it is a criminal offense to be promoting false and misleading information on the university website that can harm human health. Yet you have remained silent to my requests for evidence for your opinions on immunization.

Heather Yeatman has been the head of the UOW School of Public Health since 2006 and she is also the president of the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA). This is a potential conflict of interest in her opinions on vaccination because the PHAA supports the lobbying strategies of the Stop the Australian Vaccination Network (SAVN) – a group that is suppressing scientific debate with false and misleading information. SAVN is an offshoot of the Australian Skeptics Inc groups and many subscribers of these lobby groups write derogatory blogs about academics and other professionals that are debating the medical risks of vaccines  (now labelled as ‘anti-vaccination material).

Please see the attached article by my supervisor Brian Martin exposing the SAVN attacks on my research in the Australian mainstream media and also my latest newsletter that includes a link to free viewing of the latest 9-part documentary of the risks of vaccines. Newsletter 142 Vaccines: A Public Health Experiment http://us8.campaign-archive2.com/?u=f20605fde3732e41929f4a3f2&id=835bcdd1f9&e=fec8337d3c

This letter is an open letter so your silence and willingness to keep your names on the UOW website without a transparent debate is being noted by the global community. I have also copied the Vice-Chancellor, Paul Wellings into this email so he is aware that the opinion of immunization that is being promoted on the UOW website is not based on scientific evidence. The public wants a transparent debate on this topic and universities play a role in ensuring that the information they are promoting is provided with integrity.

I look forward to hearing from you and I will publish your response for public debate.

Kind regards,

Judy Wilyman PhD
